DONATE NOWMission Statement
The Humane Society of the Ouachitas is a no-kill shelter serving the homeless animals of Polk County, Arkansas, until permanent caring homes can be found for them, providing low cost spay/neuter, vaccination and other humane services, and dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and neglect of animals as provided by Arkansas law.

BE RESPONSIBLE
Spay or Neuter Your Pets
Millions of healthy dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States each year simply because there aren’t enough homes to go around. There are also medical and behavioral benefits to spaying (female pets) and neutering (male pets). Spaying/neutering your pets is also highly cost-effective. The cost of your pet’s spay/neuter surgery is far less than the cost of having and caring for a litter.
HSO offers Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinics. Our next scheduled clinic is on October 28-30. Click the button below for more information.

Your Donations Save Lives
Whether you make a monetary donation, or a donation of your time, every donation big or small helps us help the animals. We always have a need for supplies such as cat and dog food, cat litter, cleaning supplies, and more.
Consider sponsoring a pet by paying adoption fees, making a memorial gift, becoming an HSO member, or donating need supplies.
